About the Job
You will be the manager of one of six sections in the Case Processing Division at the Department for Case Processing. The division is responsible for the Swedish National Agency for Education's case processing, which primarily involves handling, distributing, and monitoring state grants totaling SEK 28 billion for preschools and schools, issuing preschool teacher and teacher licenses, and maintaining registries of licensed teachers and preschool teachers. The division is led by a division manager and has approximately 80 case processors and six section managers.
Your section has ten employees, and you will lead, allocate, and follow up on the operational work within the section. You are responsible for ensuring that the business reaches its set goals in production, quality, and efficiency, and you actively work to develop working methods and create favorable conditions for your employees in their daily work. Through a coaching and present management style, you support and develop your employees both individually and as a group.
The Department for Case Processing is undergoing an important development phase, including a reorganization aimed at strengthening close and clear leadership. The goal is to create better conditions for quality, collaboration, and more flexible resource utilization. The department is also preparing for major upcoming reforms in the education system, with a particular focus on a 10-year primary education program that will require updating 300,000 teacher licenses. As a section manager, you have an important role in implementing decisions, changes, and new working methods in the business.
You report to the division manager and are part of the division's management team. Within the management team, you collaborate closely and work toward joint planning, prioritization, and resource utilization. You, your section, and the division manager are located in Härnösand, while the other five sections are located in Solna. This means close collaboration with your management team occurs both remotely and on-site in Solna.
