About the position The Format section is part of the Hot Rolling & Format department and consists of four sections with associated peripheral areas. In total, we are approximately 120 employees. In the format lines, we cut and straighten sheet metal so that our customers receive the correct dimensions and high flatness. We are now looking for a section manager for one of our format lines – Format Line 1 Production places high demands on processes, technology and expertise – something you as a leader have a central role in further developing. We are in an exciting development phase with investment plans linked to SSAB's strategy to grow within format capacity in Borlänge. As section manager, you work during the day and lead employees who work shifts around the clock. You are supported by a close management team consisting of a day operator and an operations assistant. Your main areas of responsibility Lead and develop personnel and working environment Responsible for environment, budget and investments in the area Run operations based on the facility owner role Ensure safe, efficient and quality production Develop working methods and processes together with the organization Responsible for budget and investments in the role as facility manager About you You have at least upper secondary education, preferably supplemented with higher studies in a relevant field We would like you to have experience in leadership, preferably within industry, maintenance or similar If you have experience in change management, that is a merit You are analytical and have the ability to prioritize from a holistic perspective You are communicative and have an easy time building good relationships You are structured, clear and confident in your leadership You have good knowledge of Swedish and English We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
