About the Position
In connection with a reorganization within Division System on February 1, 2026, a new section, Electricity Market Implementation, was established, and the role of Section Manager was created. The section has a comprehensive mandate and is responsible for IT-related business development and management within electricity market and balancing, energy settlement, and data and information governance.
You will have personnel and work environment responsibility for the section's unit managers and direct reports. Your role includes setting direction at an overarching level, monitoring operations, and creating favorable conditions for your managers and employees through clear delegation of responsibility and work tasks.
Since Electricity Market Implementation is a newly established section, you also have the opportunity to help shape both work methods, structure, and culture with the goal of creating an efficient operation and a sustainable work environment.
The electricity market is undergoing significant changes due to electrification and the energy transition. Svenska kraftnät plays a central role in this development, which places high demands on continued development and active engagement with external stakeholders. As Section Manager for Electricity Market Implementation, you have an important responsibility to contribute to this work.
Section Electricity Market Implementation consists of four units and consolidates responsibility for IT-related implementation and management of market solutions that are complex and span multiple timeframes, actor roles, and IT systems. Responsibility for IT-related business development and management extends from day-ahead/intraday/balancing markets to operations and settlement.
The section also consolidates responsibility for requirements and monitoring of external IT-related market solutions and suppliers. Furthermore, the section is responsible for Svenska kraftnät's settlement processes, the central revenue processes for Svenska kraftnät. The division's project managers, process leaders, controllers, and business coordinators are organized within the section. The section has overall responsibility for the division's data and information governance.

Education:
Degree as Certified Engineer (Civilingenjör), Certified Economist (Civilekonom), or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät deems equivalent.
You also have:
At least ten years of relevant work experience with electricity market issues
At least five years of current management experience including personnel and budget responsibility
Experience leading other managers
Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Meritorious:
Several years of experience from project and steering group work
Experience with operations-related IT development
Experience with Nordic and European electricity market work
Experience with responsibility for efficiency and process work
Experience working in government/public administration
Good to Know:
The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg.
Possibility of remote work 20-50%, as a manager you are expected to be on-site a large part of your time.
Travel occurs in this position.
