About the job As a manager and leader at the Swedish Tax Agency, you see the whole picture, create conditions, and act consciously in everyday work. In your role as section manager, you will coach highly technically competent employees who work on the development and maintenance of software. As section manager, you have personnel responsibility. This means you have daily dialogue with the section's employees, conduct check-ins and follow-up discussions, work with employees' work environment and professional development, and more. You are part of the unit's management group and report to the unit manager. You contribute to the work of continuously developing the governance and structures that build up delivery capability. The Swedish Tax Agency develops and manages IT support in cooperation with other authorities. We are now seeking a manager and leader to lead a section that will develop and manage IT support for other authorities. Your work location is either Sundbyberg or Visby. Regular travel between locations is part of the assignment. The section has approximately 20 employees, both employed staff and consultants. Our operation is in constant development and change. We have a shared view of how leadership contributes to this, how we achieve results, and promote a culture of change. As a manager and leader with us, you are involved in driving the development of both operations and leadership. It is a matter of course for us that you maintain balance between work and leisure. About you To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be receptive, think new, and take responsibility. In this job, you should: - have the ability to see the whole picture with a focus on customer value - have the ability to create the right conditions based on your understanding of operations and mission - have the ability to act consciously in everyday work based on good self-awareness - be able to handle and analyze information flows, see connections, define scope, and communicate information - have the ability to communicate clearly and create a climate where we listen to each other You should also have: - relevant higher education in IT/computer science or other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position - several years of current and relevant experience from leadership roles in one of the following areas: IT management, service development, business development, or change management - current and relevant experience leading employees and consultants with high technical competence It is desirable that you have several years of relevant work experience within systems development. It is also desirable that you have current and relevant experience from large and complex IT environments. Good to know Employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Within the Swedish Tax Agency, we apply management appointments for up to five years, with the possibility of extension in periods of no more than three years, without limitation on the number of extensions. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with record check in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision. For some of our work tasks in security classification, Swedish citizenship is required.
