Job Description
The Inspectorate for Strategic Products receives a large number of requests for public records that must be handled promptly. To manage this task efficiently, the agency has established a dedicated disclosure function, and your role is to share responsibility for this function with your colleagues. The confidentiality officers assess requests for public records, prepare draft appealable decisions, and communicate with the public regarding requests for public records, requests for information, inquiries from the public, and other related matters. When time permits, confidentiality officers may also handle matters within the Legal and Supervisory Group, take minutes at supervisory visits, and conduct other investigations and tasks that fall under the group's responsibility. Continuously contributing to the development of the disclosure function to ensure it is efficient and legally sound is also part of the role.
Qualifications
Law degree (Juris Candidate or equivalent) or another degree that the agency deems equivalent
Strong oral and written skills in both Swedish and English
Meritorious
Experience working at a government agency
Experience with or interest in public records and confidentiality legislation
Good academic results

About the Group
The Legal and Supervisory Group is part of the Operations Support Unit. The Legal and Supervisory Group consists of just over ten employees with both experienced in-house lawyers and younger lawyers as well as people with other educational backgrounds. In the group, we value helpfulness, pleasant collaboration, and a permissive climate. As the agency grows, we develop working methods to support both each other and operations in a smooth manner and create a dynamic work environment where development and learning are central. The group is responsible for, among other things, assisting the Chief Counsel in their mission to support all of the agency's legal work. The Legal and Supervisory Group works broadly with various in-house legal matters as well as administrative law, public records and confidentiality, security protection, and tasks related to core operations. The Legal and Supervisory Group is also responsible for reviewing requests for public records that come to the agency.
