About Jubileumsparken
Jubileumsparken is located in Frihamnen in Gothenburg. Here you can visit the harbor bath, try sailing, canoe paddling, or visit the sauna. In summer 2023, a larger and greener park opened with more pools, and in 2024 the popular sauna was reopened.
Jubileumsparken is operated by the association Passalen through an IOP (idea-driven public partnership) between Passalen and the City of Gothenburg. Together with the City of Gothenburg, we take on the challenge of making Jubileumsparken an open and inclusive meeting place where everyone should feel welcome.
About the Sailing Instructor Position
As a sailing instructor, you will help park visitors sail in our accessibility dinghies. An accessibility dinghy is designed so that everyone can sail in it—it's easy to sail and difficult to tip over.
During the fall, we run our school sailing program where the city's school classes come to the park to learn to sail.
You will work together with a sailing team to welcome the classes, show them how sailing works, and help them while taking responsibility for their safety during their time here.
Examples of Work Tasks
· Rig up and down boats
· Instruct children and adults in sailing
· Operate a motorboat and ensure safe sailing activities
· Clean and maintain the park
No prior experience is required—you will learn on site. We are primarily looking for staff who can work daytime hours.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions, likes to collaborate, and is eager to learn new things.
It is an advantage to have previous sailing experience, but it is not required. You will receive an introductory training and learn on the job.
Since sailing is a water activity, you need to be able to swim at least 200 meters, of which 50 meters on your back. This will be checked before employment begins.
Most importantly, you should be curious and have a desire to learn. The work period is August–September.
Since Jubileumsparken is a public meeting place, we welcome all applications. Among the most important factors for us is having a good mix of employees. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Meritorious
· Sailing experience
· Motorboat operation experience

· First aid and CPR certification

Before the season starts, you will receive training together with our other staff.
