School Nurse

School Nurse at IES Järfälla and IES Upplands-Väsby Internationella Engelska Skolan Järfälla and Internationella Engelska Skolan Upplands-Väsby are seeking a shared school nurse. The position is a full-time employment (100%) shared between the schools. Internationella Engelska Skolan AB (IES) consists of 46 primary schools throughout the country. The central student health medical services at IES consist of MLAs, coordinating school nurses, and resource nurses who work in close collaboration with school nurses at the schools. From central EMI, we offer, among other things, orientation for new employees, mentorship for school nurses, network meetings and ongoing training, as well as close availability for support and questions. The position is directed at students from preschool class through grade 9 and includes customary work tasks according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's and the Swedish National Agency for Education's guidelines such as: health conversations and health checks, open reception for students, doctor's office, vaccinations, and preventive and health-promoting work at individual, group, and organizational levels. As a school nurse at the school, you collaborate with a school nurse colleague, with the principal and other professionals in the student health team to support students' development toward educational goals. Cooperation with municipalities and other agencies as well as contact with guardians is a natural part of the work. In our school, student health is a prioritized part of the work. Qualifications: Registered nurse with specialist education in: pediatric and adolescent nursing, district nursing, or school nurse program. We see it as positive if you have previous experience working as a school nurse and health-promoting work with children and young people. You have good communication skills and express yourself fluently in both English and Swedish, both orally and in writing. We are looking for you who: - Have a genuine interest in children and young people's health - Are flexible, engaged, and take initiative - Have good teamwork skills and enjoy working in a team - Are passionate about health-promoting work in and outside of school - Have experience with the Prorenata journal system Employment Form: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period.
