What We Offer
As District Manager at Schindler Hiss, you will become part of a strong national leadership network within service and aftermarket operations. Together with other district managers, you will develop both your own responsibility area and Schindler's continued position as a trusted, professional, and customer-focused provider. This is a direct recruitment to Schindler Hiss. The position is based in Växjö, where the district is headquartered.
What the Role Entails
As District Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and driving service operations in the Växjö district, which includes Växjö, Oskarshamn, Kalmar, Kristianstad, and Karlshamn, among others. The role is broad and combines operational leadership, business responsibility, and close customer relationships.
Operational and Strategic Responsibility
Drive a profitable, efficient, and quality-assured aftermarket operation
Ensure that service and maintenance agreements are complied with and developed
Work actively with business development, upselling, quote preparation, and contracts
Budget and profit responsibility for the district
Leadership and Personnel
Full personnel responsibility for service technicians and administrative staff within the district
Coach, develop, and follow up on employees and be responsible for recruitment
Create a good work environment with clear focus on safety and workplace requirements
Ensure compliance with Schindler's procedures, policies, and safety standards
Customer Relations
Build and maintain long-term, trusting customer relationships
Conduct both technical and commercial dialogues with property owners and partners
Be an accessible and reliable contact for everything from contract matters to operational problem-solving
You serve as the link between Schindler's technical expertise and customer needs – a key role in an organization where quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are central.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a confident and business-minded leader with experience from service, technical, construction, or property-related operations. You have a natural ability to combine leadership, structure, and business thinking.
Experience and Competencies
Documented leadership experience with responsibility for both technicians and administrative staff
Experience with customer-facing work and business-driving relationships
Familiarity with service agreements, operational management, and sales or quote processes
Strong administrative skills and system proficiency
Fluent Swedish and good English, spoken and written
Meritorious
Background in technical service, elevators, construction, property, or industry
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
Personal Qualities
Engaged, coaching, and clear leader
Solution-oriented, communicative, and confident in decision-making
Structured and accustomed to managing multiple concurrent processes
