Many want time off during Christmas and New Year – and there are those who are happy to take extra shifts during that period. Maybe that's you? Then you are welcome to join us during this winter season, and preferably for a longer period – for example all of December or from mid-December to mid-January. The assignments involve work within care at the elderly home Vikbacka, the dementia home Stefansgården, the short-term care home Granhöjden, and may include personal assistance in Hemavan. Job Duties: Care work involves helping elderly individuals with showering, administering medication (after completing delegation training for this), assisting with certain exercise routines, changing diapers, helping with shopping, cleaning, and providing companionship (social interaction). Within the service, we also offer various training sessions throughout the year to strengthen knowledge about nutrition, dementia, interactions, and more. Working hours are typically a mix of day shifts (approximately 7-14) and evening shifts (approximately 14-21). There are also night shifts (approximately 21-7). Work also occurs on some weekends. For the personal assistant position, each shift is 20 hours long and includes on-call sleeping duty. Qualifications Education and previous experience with similar work in elderly care and disability services are advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You should be positive, patient, solution-oriented, and committed to the assignment, with good collaboration skills and the ability to take initiative. Speaking and understanding Swedish is important to us. We have a language requirement equivalent to passing grades in Swedish in the ninth grade. Where unclear, we will conduct a written language test. Before a contract is signed, you must provide a certificate from the criminal record register, which you can order from the Police Authority.
