About the Operations As a coordinator for School as Arena, you will collaborate with many different stakeholders within community associations, the local community, various operations of the City of Borås, and other societal functions that can contribute to the success of School as Arena. As a coordinator at Hässleholmen, you are employed at Fjärdingskolan and report to the school's principal, but you work across both Bodaskolan and Fjärdingskolan. Responsibilities As a coordinator for School as Arena, you will be the cohesive and driving link in the work at Hässleholmen. You will work with the entire process from needs and resource assessment to implementation and development. The work should take place in collaboration with children, families, schools, associations, residents of the local area, civil society organizations, housing companies, libraries, and other operations within the City of Borås, among others. In your role, you are the link between the school and the local community, and you ensure that collaboration and the activities included in this approach function well. The role involves planning and coordinating a wide range of activities within both culture and sports. In some cases, you will also lead your own activities. Working hours are daytime, though evening and weekend work may occur. Qualifications We are looking for someone with broad experience in community-focused social work, preferably with a university degree. We want you to have experience working in schools and/or with children and young people, as well as experience with the nonprofit sector and civil society organizations within sports, culture, or similar areas. For this position, we value knowledge and experience in process and project management. A prerequisite for succeeding in this role is that you have a networking approach and are skilled at building good relationships that promote collaboration between different stakeholders and professions. Experience with collaboration between community associations and public operations is considered a merit. In your work, you are responsive, goal-oriented, and organized. You make things happen and have strong communication skills. You are skilled at building relationships, actively seek others' input, and adapt your approach to those you meet. The School as Arena concept is being successfully implemented in several schools in Sweden and internationally. School as Arena has existed in Borås since 2021 and operates in four schools across three different geographic areas.
