We are now seeking a coordinator for forensic psychiatry, a varied role where you contribute to smooth daily operations and make a difference for both colleagues and patients. Your Workplace Forensic psychiatry cares for patients who have committed crimes while suffering from serious mental illness and who have been placed in forensic psychiatric care following court proceedings. The focus of forensic psychiatric care consists of rehabilitation, habilitation, and good psychiatric nursing care. Forensic psychiatry consists of a total of four departments, three located in Kristinehamn and one in Karlstad. Care unit 80 has 10 inpatient beds in security class 2, care unit 81 has 14 inpatient beds in security class 3, care unit 82 has 8 inpatient beds in security class 3, and care unit 45 has 10 inpatient beds in security class 3. We are now seeking a coordinator who, together with our current coordinator, will work across the operation on behalf of the department heads to ensure daily staffing and provide administrative support to the heads. The operation includes nursing assistants, nurses, psychologists, social workers, physicians, and occupational therapists. Your Responsibilities The coordinator position is newly established and a decision has been made to trial the position for one year in the operation with continuous evaluation. We now see a need to expand with an additional coordinator. We are seeking a coordinator with overall responsibility in the operation. The assignment involves planning and ensuring daily staffing at the three departments in Kristinehamn as well as supporting and assisting the department heads with administrative tasks. The coordinator will be a support to the department heads; you will have continuous coordination with the department heads and ensure that daily operations run smoothly. The following responsibilities include: Manage ongoing staffing and scheduling including sick leave notifications. Coordinate staffing between departments and book temporary staff as needed. Plan orientation for new employees. Prepare employment contracts and extend salary supplements on behalf of the head. When needed, assist in daily clinical work with patients. The position is a one-year temporary contract with possibility of extension. Your Knowledge and Competencies You have an appropriate degree, preferably with experience in psychiatric care. It is meritorious if you have previous experience with scheduling and good computer skills. The position requires personal suitability; collaboration skills are very important, as is a structured work approach and good communication skills. You should also be a responsible person who can work independently under high pressure.
