About the operation The Quality and Patient Safety operation is part of the Patient Safety, Development and Research Area in Healthcare. The operation acts as experts and advisors on issues related to quality and patient safety with the aim of contributing to safe care. The operation includes several different functions including a pharmacy unit, infection control, chief medical officer and patient safety coordinators. You are primarily part of a team consisting of patient safety coordinators, chief medical officer and case officers. We work across the entire region which means travel within the region. We are now seeking a patient safety coordinator for Quality and Patient Safety! The position is a permanent employment at 50% where you work clinically for the remaining 50%. Employment begins 2026-10-01. The location is in one of the towns Örnsköldsvik, Sundsvall or Sollefteå and is determined in dialogue with the recruiting manager. Job responsibilities As a patient safety coordinator, you work with various initiatives to support the operations' quality and patient safety work, including investigation of suspected serious healthcare injuries, risk analyses and nursing care issues. We have a proactive direction in our work through, for example, patient safety training for the operation, dialogue with operations to identify areas for improvement within patient safety, and highlighting good examples. You will receive an introduction adapted to your skills and previous experience. Competence development is ensured continuously and further studies are encouraged. You will work with, among other things: Investigation work in case of suspected serious healthcare injury: provide methodological support in the operations' investigation work and serve as analysis leader in central investigations. Patient safety dialogues: proactive work reviewing the operation's current situation and need for support regarding patient safety culture and outcomes in, among other things, quality and patient safety measures. Patient safety training for different target groups, for example managers, operational investigators, newly employed staff. Patient safety risk analyses: act as an expert towards the operations and document and lead the analysis in collaboration with the chief medical officer in overarching risk analyses. Qualifications We are looking for you who: Are a licensed nurse Have several years of professional work experience Have good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing Have a B driver's license It is meritorious if you: Have experience with patient safety work, such as risk analyses, investigation of suspected serious healthcare injuries using the incident analysis method.
