Blomsterfonden – For a safer and richer life for seniors Blomsterfonden is a nonprofit organization that works to ensure seniors have safe homes, professional care and support with meaningful daily lives. Our goal is to give older people a richer life – filled with community, consideration, and joy of living. Our work is characterized by our ethical values: compassion, participation, clarity, and honesty. The organization was founded in 1921 by Alma Hedin. Under her leadership, a special spirit emerged – the Blomsterfonden spirit – which continues to define our work today. We carry on Alma's mission by cherishing what is at the heart of every human life: recognizing each individual's capacity, will, and emotional life. Blomsterfonden is also actively committed to supporting family caregivers. We arrange and participate in various forums to spread knowledge about seniors' needs and life situations.
