Description:
Värmdö is the meeting place of the archipelago with a unique combination of nature's quiet beauty and a more urban lifestyle. Our mission is not one but many: schools, property, social services, harbors, healthcare, libraries, care and many more. We work to ensure that all Värmdö residents can live a rich and free life. We want to be the ones who enable the dream of a vital and safe environment for home, family and business. To fully succeed, we must have different competencies and work together for a common and trusting work culture, built on courageous and responsible employees who understand the needs and wishes of residents. Our Operations On January 1, 2026, the healthcare and care office and the office for individual and family care merged into the social and care office. We are facing an exciting transformation journey and are now seeking engaged employees who want to be part of shaping the new office. In the individual and family care division, we are approximately 80 employees working with social services for both children, youth and adults. The unit you will become part of consists of 30 social workers together with group leaders and a unit manager. As a coordinator, you will have a central role in the team – with the task of strengthening collaboration around children and young people with complex needs, driving the work with SIP and Signs of Safety, and contributing to more children receiving support close to home instead of placement outside the family. The assignment aims to enable coordinated efforts between social services, the region, schools and other actors – with a clear focus on preventive work and sustainable home-based solutions. We work together for a trusting work culture, built on courageous and responsible employees who understand the needs and wishes of residents. Värmdö Municipality stands for clear leadership that gives employees the conditions to perform their work and take responsibility for their own personal development. We also invest in a good work environment and have a stated ambition to create a good balance between work and leisure. Your Assignment In the role of coordinator, you have an independent and important assignment with direct impact on children and young people's living situation. You work operatively and closely with social workers in their investigation and follow-up work, while maintaining a strategic overall perspective on collaboration and method development. Your main duties are to: Educate and implement Signs of Safety and SIP as working methods within the unit, and ensure that the methods take hold in daily work. Together with group leaders actively support social workers in their work with SIP and network meetings and safety planning. Participate in and conduct complex SIP and network meetings where you contribute your expertise and ensure that the right actors collaborate around the child or young person. Work actively together with leaders and social workers so that children who are placed, where possible, can return home. Contribute to joint planning and co-financing in collaboration with the region and LSS. You are expected to take clear ownership of the coordination and implementation assignment, lead meetings with multiple professions and principals, and document and follow up on the processes you drive. The role requires both the ability to work structured independently and to be an active support for your colleagues. Your Experience This is required - Degree in social work (Socionom) - Several years of experience in authority work as a social worker with children and youth - Experience of collaboration between social services, the region, schools and/or LSS - Strong ability to lead meetings and coordinate, document and follow up complex processes - Good experience working according to Signs of Safety, including safety planning - Documented experience training and implementing methods and working approaches within social services - Completed training as a trainer in Signs of Safety - Completed basic and advanced training in SIP - Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish - Category B driving license Meritorious - Experience working as a SIP coordinator - Training in and experience of network work according to systems theory - Experience training and implementing Signs of Safety and SIP in an organization - Experience with dialogue and negotiation with external providers and other principals regarding content, scope and price levels within the framework of current agreements Your Personal Qualities To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are a confident and experienced social worker who can take independent ownership of your assignment. You drive your work forward with good structure, plan long-term and keep complex processes together without losing the details. You are a natural leader in meetings with others – you lead meetings with confidence, build trust with different professions and principals, and have the ability to get groups moving in the same direction. At the same time, you are responsive and collaboration-oriented, and understand the value of working closely with group leaders, social workers and external actors to achieve the best possible results for the child and family. You are relationship-building by nature and find it easy to establish and maintain contacts, both internally and in collaboration with the region, schools and LSS. In meetings with other professions, you are unpretentious and constructive, and you contribute to an atmosphere where collaboration feels natural. We place great importance on personal suitability. Employment Värmdö Municipality offers wellness benefits, SL card with net salary deduction and vacation exchange for extra days off. We also actively work to create health-promoting workplaces with a good work environment and apply smoke-free work time. We strive for an even gender balance and see diversity as a strength and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds.
