Description
Are you a strategic networker who gets things done and wants to make a real difference for civil defense? We are looking for a coordinator who wants to lead and develop work to strengthen the rescue service's capabilities during enhanced readiness (RUHB) in Rescue Services Karlstad Region together with the region's other rescue services and Rescue Region Bergslagen.
You will become part of an engaged team in the rescue services department while reporting directly to the rescue chiefs in Värmland. You are expected to represent the rescue service in national contexts, under the guidance of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MCF), where cooperation with various actors and colleagues within Rescue Region Bergslagen is essential for success.
Work Tasks
Sweden's civil defense is now being strengthened on all fronts, and the municipal rescue service is one of the central actors. As a coordinator with us, you get a unique and significant role where you drive the development of Värmland's rescue services' capabilities during enhanced readiness.
You get a rare opportunity to be one of the actors who together plan and connect preparedness planning in Rescue Region Bergslagen. The work includes, among other things, the following:
Support and Coordinate - You help Värmland's rescue service organizations plan and prepare to operate during enhanced readiness and, in the last resort, war.
Build Networks - You maintain and create collaborations to fulfill the mission. This includes, among other things, the County Administrative Board, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, other emergency services, and voluntary defense organizations.
Strategic Development - Adapt the rescue service's organization, management, and resources for enhanced readiness to ensure that critical societal functions work even during crisis or war.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone driven to create structure in complex issues and who sees collaboration as the key to success. In addition, we see that you have relevant academic education or other education and experience that we consider equivalent.
To be able to contribute fully, we see that you have good knowledge of how the rescue service works, experience leading projects, and are accustomed to communicating with various actors and stakeholders.
Depending on previous experience, education, and suitability, there is an opportunity to apply for operative leadership roles within Rescue Region Bergslagen as a complement to the position.
We place great emphasis on your personal suitability as we are looking for a modest person who takes own initiative and thrives in a varied role.
The position is placed in a security classification, which means that a security clearance will be conducted before employment.
