At Culture Sundbyberg, we work with the development, acquisition, management, and accessibility of both permanent and movable art. The unit is responsible for Sundbyberg's art collection, which consists of approximately 2,000 works, most of which are placed in the city's facilities. The Art Unit is part of Culture Sundbyberg, which is part of the Culture and Recreation Administration. The Culture and Recreation Administration is LGBTQ+ certified, and we expect you to work with us to ensure that Sundbyberg's city art is characterized by inclusivity. This approach is central to how we select art based on representation and expression, as well as how we make art accessible to everyone who lives in and visits the city. As a permanent art coordinator, you are responsible for monitoring the one percent rule, developing site-specific art from start to finish, and managing and facilitating it. You will also collaborate with the coordinator for the city's movable art. Your main responsibilities are to lead art procurement projects according to public procurement law. Management of the existing art collection is also part of your assignment. You will also collaborate with an art assistant on the acquisition, placement, and management of movable art. We want you to have higher education in public art that the employer considers relevant. You should have experience leading art procurement in the public sector. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. This position is a limited-term part-time employment of 6 months at 80%, September 2026–February 2027. Start date August 24 or by agreement. Additional Information A large part of our operations is classified as essential services. The position may require you to participate in Sundbyberg's city emergency organization.
