The Meals Department is responsible for the entire chain – from planning and procurement of food to production, packaging, delivery and serving of meals, as well as delivery of groceries. The assignment also includes menu and recipe planning, self-monitoring, nutrition science, meal economics, meal environment, restaurant operations, and construction projects for kitchens. Every day we ensure that preschools, primary and secondary schools, elderly care, and health and medical care receive safe and high-quality meals.
We are now seeking a coordinator for preparedness and supply – a new role in a societally important operation. The role is under development and will evolve over time, with content, responsibilities, and areas of collaboration successively shaped in line with the operation's and region's work. We are looking for you to create structure, develop working methods, and drive development in an operation of great importance to society.
Your responsibilities
In the role as coordinator for preparedness and supply, you are responsible for coordinating and developing the meal services' work in this area. You identify needs and develop, anchor, and implement plans, routines, and working methods that strengthen the operation's preparedness and supply capacity. An important part of the assignment is to monitor and continuously develop the operation's ability to handle various types of disruptions and crises.
You also coordinate preparedness-related issues related to procurement, contracts, and supplier supply, and serve as a support to the operation on matters concerning preparedness, supply, and information management. When needed, you are responsible for coordinating government grants and development initiatives within the meals department.
In the role, you lead and coordinate working groups and projects, and collaborate with other administrations, authorities, and external actors. You also participate in relevant networks and forums to contribute to knowledge exchange and environmental monitoring. In addition, you are an active part of the department's development and improvement work and contribute to strengthening the operation both in the short and long term.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have experience working with matters at both strategic and operational levels and who have good understanding of how long-term development work is translated into practice. You have experience in meal services and good knowledge of the conditions and requirements that characterize the field.
You also have experience leading projects and processes, as well as planning, monitoring, and evaluating operations and development initiatives. We also see that you have experience from regional, municipal, or state operations, since the assignment involves collaboration with several public actors. For the position, a driver's license (category B) and Swedish citizenship are required.
It is a merit if you have experience with public procurement.
To succeed in the role, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your assignment. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and drive your processes forward. You communicate clearly and ensure that messages get across and that expectations are clear for all involved. You work well with others, are receptive and flexible in your contacts, and have an ease for creating and developing good relationships. The role also requires that you are flexible, have an ease for adapting to changed circumstances, and see opportunities in changes.
