Coordinating Staff Member for Day Care Activity

We are seeking an engaged staff member for our day care activity for people with dementia. The position combines hands-on care work with coordinating responsibilities in the daily operations of a small work team. Ava day care is located on Reimersholme in Stockholm and serves people with dementia who live in their own homes. We offer a safe and meaningful activity where each participant receives support based on their needs, interests, and life experiences. ⸻ About the Role You will work closely with participants in the daily activity and participate in both care and activities. At the same time, you have coordinating responsibilities in the daily work, where you help create structure, plan the day together with colleagues, and ensure that the activity runs smoothly during your work shift. This role does not include personnel responsibility and you work in close collaboration with colleagues and the activity manager. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Hands-on care work: * Support participants in daily life (e.g., meals, hygiene, and activities) * Create safety, structure, and meaningful days * Address anxiety and support individual needs * Participate in social and stimulating activities Coordinating tasks in daily work: * Plan and structure the day together with colleagues * Distribute and coordinate daily work within the team * Ensure that planned activities and routines are carried out * Contribute to ensuring smooth practical flow in the activity during the day * Document and follow up on measures according to routine * When needed, maintain contact with family members and collaboration partners in daily work * Contribute to developing work methods together with the activity manager and team ⸻ We are Looking for You if You * Have education in care and nursing, such as nurse assistant, psychiatric care worker, nurse, or occupational therapist * Experience working with people with dementia is a merit, as is education in the dementia field * Are confident in hands-on care work and have good interpersonal skills * Enjoy working close to people in their daily lives * Have the ability to create structure and take responsibility in daily work * Can work independently and in close collaboration with others * Have good Swedish skills, both spoken and written ⸻ We Offer * Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period * Daytime, Monday–Friday * A small activity with short decision-making paths and opportunity to influence * Opportunity to participate in developing the activity * Wellness allowance We welcome your application!We are seeking an engaged staff member for our day care activity for people with dementia.
