The department's public activities include Helsingborg Library, Helsingborg Museum, Helsingborg School of Culture, Helsingborg Art Hall, and Dunkers Scenes. Together, they are supported by shared support functions for communication, administration, finance, and HR. Helsingborg Art Hall is part of Dunkers kulturhus in central Helsingborg, where contemporary art meets a broad audience in a vibrant cultural environment. Educational activities take place in two newly built studios with an adjoining exhibition hall and in the art hall. Here we meet audiences of all ages—from preschool children to adults. Job Responsibilities As coordinator of educational activities, you are responsible for planning and developing the art hall's educational work together with two employed art educators and part-time staff. You have overall responsibility for the activities' structure and coordination, while also being active in public-facing work. The work requires flexibility, and some working hours are scheduled for evenings and every third weekend. Job responsibilities include: - Planning and coordinating educational activities - Responsibility for budget and some scheduling - Coordinating and maintaining contact with part-time educators - Participating in expanded management meetings - Initiating internal and external collaborations and participating in relevant networks - Writing audience-appropriate texts for exhibitions and public programs - Working operationally with workshops for participants of all ages—from preschool children to adults In your role as coordinating art educator, you work on developing and implementing school programs, guided tours, workshops, and public activities. You also help develop the art hall's open studio and work creatively with formats such as audio guides and participant-based projects. You initiate collaborations and projects that can lead to exhibitions with children and young people. With us, you will have a central role in creating meaningful encounters between art and the public. We are looking for someone who enjoys both working practically in the activities and likes to coordinate, develop, and drive processes forward. Qualifications The position requires: - An academic degree in art history, art education, or artistic higher education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent - Documented experience with art education work with different target groups, from preschool children to adults - Experience with project management and/or work supervision - Strong administrative skills - Good knowledge of and familiarity with contemporary art - Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and good knowledge of English Meritorious: - Experience writing audience-appropriate texts about exhibitions and public events - Knowledge of norm criticism and discrimination grounds and the ability to apply this knowledge in practical work Working for Helsingborg City Do you want to help create a better city together with the residents of Helsingborg?
