Activity Description Hello! Are you our new childcare worker colleague at Fjälldalen Preschool? To our Sami minority language department Heavdni, we are now looking for a Sami-speaking childcare worker. Fjälldalen Preschool is a preschool with six departments where nature and the mountains are close at hand, and where you as an educator have a unique opportunity to be involved in shaping the future of preschool education. The preschool opened in January 2025 and we are now looking for you who want to step in among a wonderful group of colleagues and build long-term work at the preschool. In preschool we meet our children in their first education and in their first steps in lifelong learning, and you as an educator are important. Read more about what it's like to work in preschool: https://gallivare.se/lararjobb Job Duties The preschool curriculum (Lpfö18) describes the preschool's values and mission and contains goals and guidelines for work in preschool. Children in preschool should receive a safe education where care, development and learning form a whole. Work as a childcare worker involves you, together with your work team, creating a safe and developing education for the children at the preschool. The work is challenging, exciting, creative and takes place in close collaboration with your work team and colleagues at the preschool. As a childcare worker, you are part of a work team and participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of the education offered to children. You collaborate with your work team and together you offer children fun and educational instruction and teaching. Qualifications We are looking for you who are trained as a childcare worker (alternatively another education that the employer considers equivalent) and speak Sami (for example North Sami or Lule Sami). It is important: that you are familiar with our governing document, Curriculum for Preschool (Lpfö18), that you are a safe and clear leader, find it easy to take own initiative, are positive and have confidence in children's different competencies, that you care about trustful relationships with children and guardians and that you have good collaboration skills, that you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work, that you use visual support and TAKK (signs as alternative and complementary communication), that you are interested in developing the preschool. Very good skills in Swedish both orally and in writing are a requirement for the position. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities and personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a merit when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
