The Sámi Parliament is the administrative authority for Sámi culture. We work to promote a living Sámi culture, take initiatives for activities, and propose measures that advance this culture. Duties Your responsibilities will include processing cultural grants, compiling statistics for, for example, annual reports, and conducting financial follow-ups. You will investigate and prepare cases within the cultural field and respond to requests for consultation. You will also provide support to the Sámi Parliament's cultural policymakers. You will collaborate with various cultural actors and authorities. Other duties may occur. Travel is included in the position. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with a college or university degree in culture or another field that the employer finds relevant, or equivalent work experience. You must have good knowledge of Sámi culture and cultural life. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. Knowledge of the Sámi language is a merit. Previous experience with case and grant management and financial follow-ups is also a merit. Basic knowledge of economics and experience with public administration and politically governed activities are desirable. Personal Qualities You are self-directed and solution-oriented. You plan, organize, and carry out your work in a structured and efficient manner. It is important that you are flexible and have good collaboration skills, as we work with varying assignments and different partners. Employment Type Full-time. Permanent position.
