Your next challenge As an occupational health and safety engineer at Iggesunds Bruk, you have the opportunity to influence how we work with safety and occupational health and safety – every day. You lead the development of our systematic occupational health and safety work (SAM) and help strengthen a safety culture where preventive work, participation, and continuous improvements are an integral part of the operation. You function as a specialist and advisor to management, managers, and employees on matters concerning occupational health and safety, risk management, and occupational health and safety legislation. Through close collaboration with the operation, you translate analyses and legal requirements into concrete improvements that make a real difference – both for our employees and for the operation's continued development. In the role you will, among other things: Lead, coordinate, and further develop systematic occupational health and safety work in accordance with applicable legislation and Holmen's approach. Identify, analyze, and follow up on occupational health and safety risks and conduct and document risk assessments, safety inspections, and accident investigations. Drive improvement projects that strengthen the safety culture and develop the operation's methods. Serve as a contact person with authorities, such as the Swedish Work Environment Authority, and collaborate with external stakeholders. Train and support managers and safety representatives so that occupational health and safety issues become a natural part of daily leadership. Contribute to the development of occupational health and safety strategies and long-term goals for Iggesunds Bruk. This is a role for you who wants more than ensuring compliance. For you to succeed in the role We are looking for you who enjoy creating structure, building trusting relationships, and driving development together with others. You have a strategic perspective, but also appreciate being close to the operation where the improvements actually happen. We see that you have: University degree as an occupational health and safety engineer or equivalent. Experience with systematic occupational health and safety work (SAM). Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and relevant regulations (AML and AFS). Experience with accident and incident investigations. Knowledge of risk management and risk assessment. Ability to work structurally with analysis, documentation, and follow-up. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Class B driver's license. It is meritorious if you have experience with authority contacts, planning and conducting training, and driving change and improvement work within the occupational health and safety field.
