About the Position
In your role as a security specialist focused on personnel security, you will work together with your colleagues to protect the electricity supply by ensuring that Svenska kraftnät recruits reliable and loyal employees from a security protection perspective. You will conduct security clearances for individuals applying for positions requiring security classification. In this work, you will perform background checks, conduct interviews and investigations, and handle registry checks. Beyond interviews, an important part of your work is to process and analyze the gathered information to provide recommendations to decision-makers regarding the candidate's suitability.
Your role also includes participating in Svenska kraftnät's work with position analysis, which forms the basis for determining which positions within the agency should be classified as security positions. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the important protection of critical national infrastructure in a changing world. Working together with your team, you will continuously work to develop our security clearance process and methods to ensure our work is effective and that processes comply with applicable legislation and guidelines.
In your role, you will have many internal contact points within the agency and will have the opportunity to develop further within this field through close collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues with diverse specialist competencies and backgrounds.
The Operations and Security Protection Unit is part of the Security Section within the Security and Preparedness Department. The unit currently has 12 staff members plus a unit manager, with a mix of both permanent employees and consultants.

Education:
Education in, for example, political science, behavioral science, security, or other work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position.
You also have:
At least two years of current and relevant experience conducting structured interviews in a professional context, such as security clearance interviews, investigations, or personnel assessments.
Relevant work experience analyzing, processing, and making assessments of complex information sets.
Strong ability to speak, read, and write in Swedish and English.
Meritorious:
Relevant experience with security clearance work according to security protection legislation.
Current education in security protection.
Experience working in state administration.
Knowledge of and experience with the structure and processes of the electricity supply.
Good to Know
The position is based in Sundbyberg.
Some opportunity for remote work, two days/week when work tasks permit.
Travel is minimal in this position.
