We are seeking someone ready to take a comprehensive approach to the organization's continued work and who, in a methodical and communicative manner, drives the security culture forward to ensure that the municipality is prepared for both everyday situations and crises.
Your Assignment
As Chief Security Officer, also serving as Chief Security Protection Officer, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and monitoring the municipality's work within security, security protection, crisis preparedness, civil defense, information security, as well as the municipality's crime prevention and safety-building efforts. The role includes responsibility for operations, personnel, and budget.
You will:
Develop and advance the organization's overarching governing documents, plans, and analyses to ensure a robust security organization
Build up and lead the newly established security unit
Support the municipality's departments in their own security work
Initiate relevant collaboration platforms within the municipal group
Take responsibility for training initiatives and exercise activities, both across the municipality and specific to operations
Ensure that the organization works systematically with preparedness and continuity plans
Collaborate with external actors such as the business sector, authorities, region, and other municipalities.
Represent the municipality in relevant networks.
The position is covered by the Security Protection Act and requires a security clearance. The role requires availability outside regular working hours.
Your Experience
We seek someone with experience in security work and with particular expertise in preparedness.
You have:
A degree from a university or college in a relevant field or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer as equivalent.
Several years of experience in security work, as well as experience in crisis preparedness, civil defense, or total defense.
Experience leading operations, projects, or employees.
Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, including security protection.
Experience with analyses within risk, vulnerability, and security protection.
Very strong communication skills
Swedish citizenship and a B-category driver's license.

We will conduct initial interviews on Tuesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 13. Second interviews and union interviews will be held on August 20, and we would appreciate if you plan your availability accordingly.
