Job Responsibilities As a Security Analyst, you will primarily work with support and operational development regarding compliance with security policy regulations that affect research activities. The Security Department works with, among other things: Implementation and compliance with regulations regarding the institution's preparedness for crisis and war and its role in total defense Implementation and compliance with regulations regarding civilian products with dual uses Implementation and compliance with regulations regarding research that constitutes activities with war material Support for systematic risk management and risk and vulnerability analyses Implementation and compliance with the Act on Screening of Foreign Direct Investment Implementation and compliance with the Security Protection Act You will be part of a working group that specializes in these areas. Everyone in the working group has basic competence in all subject areas, but you will have the opportunity to focus particularly on a few areas. In practice, you may work with: Providing support in developing the agency's crisis preparedness work Conducting analyses Writing internal guidelines, procedures, and guidance Handling applications for various permits required for security-policy strategic products in research Conducting internal training and workshops Reviewing draft agreements and providing researchers with guidance within your focus area Qualifications As an applicant for this role, we see that you have: An academic degree in, for example, political science or law. Location: Uppsala The position is placed in a security class and requires Swedish citizenship in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585). A security clearance with background check will be conducted before an employment decision is made. Service as an on-call officer (TiB) may be included in the position over time. This means that after a training period, you may be part of a group that takes turns staffing the university's emergency telephone outside office hours. Emergency compensation is paid according to the local collective agreement when serving as TiB.
