As a sawmill operator, you are responsible for monitoring and ensuring safe and efficient operation of one or more machines that produce various wood products. The work is performed with great focus on safety and quality. The machines are operated either manually or through the facility's digital control system. The role also includes work tasks such as sorting, packaging, and handling of timber. The work is performed according to applicable production planning as well as safety and work instructions to ensure efficient and safe production. Truck driving is also part of the work, and therefore a forklift license is mandatory. Working hours are arranged in three shifts. Who Are You? To thrive in the role of sawmill operator and truck driver, you are a responsible and safety-conscious person who always works carefully and follows applicable procedures and instructions. You have a technical interest and feel comfortable working both practically and with digital control systems. You are attentive and quality-conscious, which enables you to quickly detect deviations and contribute to efficient and safe production. Since the work often takes place in collaboration with colleagues, you are a team player with good collaborative skills, while also being able to work independently and take your own initiative when the situation requires it. You are flexible and easily adapt to different workstations and work tasks. Furthermore, you have a positive attitude, are engaged in your work, and contribute to a good working environment. To be qualified for the role, you should have completed upper secondary education, a class B driver's license, and speak Swedish well. A forklift license is mandatory for the position.
