About the Position At Södra Wood, we transform our members' forest raw materials into wood products sold around the world. Right now we're looking for new operators for our sawmill in Kisa. What You'll Work With at Södra As a sawmill operator, you'll be an important part of production and work to ensure a stable and efficient flow in operations. The role is varied and combines process monitoring with practical work in the facility. Your tasks may include: monitoring and controlling parts of the production process operating trucks, wheel loaders, or other machinery handling material flows and raw materials resolving simple operational disruptions performing basic maintenance and equipment care contributing to order and organization in the facility collaborating with colleagues to ensure safe and efficient production The work is both independent and team-based, and you'll have the opportunity to develop skills across multiple areas of the operation. We're seeking both permanent and temporary staff, full-time, based in Kisa. Working hours are on a 2-shift schedule, where you alternate weeks between morning and afternoon/evening shifts. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who thrives in a practical and varied role where you can take responsibility and work close to production. You have an interest in technology, machinery, and industrial processes and enjoy working solution-oriented. You also have completed upper secondary education and a class B driver's license. It's advantageous (but not required) if you have: experience in the sawmill industry or other industrial/production operations experience with LEAN traverse certification chainsaw certification experience operating machinery, such as wheel loaders or trucks good computer skills experience with shift work As a person, you're responsible, engaged, and have a strong safety mindset. You enjoy collaborating with others while being able to work independently and take initiative when needed. We place great importance on personal suitability and the willingness to learn new things.
