Senior Communications Specialist

Land Forces 2nd Vidzeme Brigade 22nd Combat Support Battalion (22.KNBn) offers a position for a fixed-term contract SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (Profession code: 2432 08) Job Responsibilities: • Coordinate the battalion's activities in civil-military cooperation; • Organize and conduct monitoring of the information environment; • Create and maintain a database of contacts from civil institutions and cooperation partners in the battalion's area of responsibility; • Prepare informational materials for publication on social media and in the local press. Create and maintain the battalion's photo/video archive; • Represent the battalion in cooperation with media outlets; • Conduct cooperation with media outlets, prepare and send press releases. Requirements for Candidates: • Education: Level 1 professional higher education in social sciences (public relations, journalism, political science, strategic communications, etc.); • Excellent knowledge of Latvian and English; • Good organizational, communication, and presentation skills; • High sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and in a team; • Ability and motivation to continuously develop knowledge and skills; • Ability to take responsibility for the results of professional activities; • Compliance with the requirements of Section 9 of the "On State Secrets" Law.
