JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Water and Wastewater Department within the Infrastructure and Building Administration supplies drinking water to urban areas, manages and treats wastewater and stormwater, and produces biogas. The department is actively working to develop and improve operations to meet future challenges with a long-term sustainable and secure water and wastewater supply in our growing municipality. The Water and Wastewater Department currently consists of approximately 70 employees, and you will be part of the Mains Unit which is responsible for water and wastewater mains and stormwater reservoirs.
As a pipe network technician, you will work with operation and maintenance work on the water and wastewater mains. This includes, among other things, handling acute leaks, maintaining pipelines and related equipment, performing planned renovations of existing pipeline sections, and laying new water and wastewater mains. You will alternately work in a team or solve certain tasks on your own.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has education in or practical experience working with construction/plumbing (for example, upper secondary education in construction/civil works or plumbing). You are accustomed to using digital tools for information retrieval, reporting, and more.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. You find it easy to create contacts and relationships that contribute to good cooperation. You enjoy working together with others while being self-directed and able to make your own decisions in daily work. As a person, you are good at planning and structuring your work while remaining flexible and adaptable when circumstances change. You are thorough and always strive to achieve a good result.
Category B driver's license is required. On-call duty may be part of the position.
