The Breast Radiology Clinic, BRK, in Västmanland is a proud clinic at the forefront of innovation. Are you the "mammography nurse" we're looking for? Job Responsibilities The Breast Radiology Clinic uses the term "mammography nurse" as a collective designation for imaging radiologic technologists or nurses. As a mammography nurse at BRK, you will have a variety of tasks, including: Performing breast X-rays using mammography in both screening workflows and breast cancer investigations, as well as all cancer follow-ups and hereditary screenings Breast palpation of patients undergoing investigation Assisting with ultrasound and biopsies Telephone contact with patients for scheduling changes and cancellations, and answering questions about our investigations Booking breast MRI and contrast mammography appointments When you start with us, you will receive a customized 10-week training and onboarding period under supervision on all our equipment and computer systems. This includes training on all work procedures. Job responsibilities are constantly evolving as we are a clinic in continuous development, and we hope you will want to be part of that journey. Mammography nurses, like everyone else at the clinic, share time off, both short and long absences. About the Workplace The Breast Radiology Clinic, BRK, performs both breast cancer screening with mammography and advanced breast investigations using mammography, tomosynthesis, contrast mammography, ultrasound, and breast MRI, as well as various types of biopsies and procedures. BRK leads multidisciplinary conferences for breast cancer 1-2 times per week. BRK actively participates in the regional breast tumor process together with our equally committed colleagues from several other clinics. BRK actively participates in regional healthcare working groups for breast cancer screening and breast cancer. BRK is a well-staffed clinic that over the past 12 months has assisted 4 other regions with screening reviews, MRI reviews, and investigations on-site and at other locations. This sets high demands and develops all clinic staff as they take on new responsibilities through these collaborations. BRK currently has 29 employees: 2 medical secretaries, 19 mammography nurses (radiologic technologists and nurses), and 8 physicians. It is important to us that you feel well and enjoy your work. Qualifications We are looking for a licensed radiologic technologist or nurse, preferably with several years of professional experience. The job responsibilities require that you have full command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and have good knowledge of English. Additional language skills are a plus. As a person, you are calm and confident. You adapt easily to new circumstances and can adjust your work pace accordingly. Since we have a high patient flow, you need to enjoy a fast pace, be organized, and be able to prioritize your work. You are considerate, collaborate easily, and bring joy to the team. You want to contribute to the development of the clinic, come with ideas, and take initiative in your work. Employment Terms Permanent employment. Full-time. Day shift, Monday-Friday.
