Do you want to be part of one of Norrbotten's most unique and proud traditions? During a few intense autumn weeks, you'll work with one of Sweden's most exclusive delicacies, Kalix Vendace Roe. We're now seeking several careful and committed employees for this year's season. This is a job for someone who appreciates craftsmanship, quality, and teamwork. You'll become an important part of production where each task contributes to creating a product that is known far beyond Sweden's borders. About the Role As a Roe Sorter, you'll work cleaning, rinsing, and sorting roe from vendace. The work follows strict quality and hygiene standards where precision and attention to detail are critical to the final result. You'll work alongside an experienced team that will teach you the tasks and ensure you receive good training. The work is largely manual and requires patience, concentration, and an eye for detail. At the same time, it's a social work environment where cooperation and team spirit are important parts of daily life. No previous experience in vendace roe processing is required. The most important thing is that you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn. There is a possibility that this employment could become a permanent position with the client. About You We're looking for someone who: Is careful and quality-conscious Has good manual dexterity and concentration ability Enjoys repetitive work where precision is important Can work at a high pace when production requires it Is responsible and reliable Likes to collaborate and contribute to a positive work environment Can work in cooler production environments Previous experience in food production, industry, or fish processing is a merit but not required. Why You'll Enjoy This! This is much more than an ordinary seasonal job. You'll be part of a tightly-knit team where everyone works toward the same goal during an intense and exciting period. For many, the season becomes a recurring experience year after year thanks to the special sense of community that forms when everyone works together to deliver the highest possible quality. Practical Information The work is normally carried out five days per week, from Sunday afternoon or Monday morning to Thursday or Friday depending on production needs. Planned working hours are 8 hours per day, but overtime may occur if needed. Since the work is directly tied to fishing, the scope can vary depending on catch quantities. With smaller catches, the number of working hours may decrease or certain shifts may be cancelled. Schedule will be announced closer to the season start.
