In our risk-based supervision, you investigate, in cooperation with our lawyers, cases that are raised for decisions on disciplinary measures. You participate in the special quality reviews we conduct of auditors and registered audit firms that audit companies of public interest. We also work in teams there. We also conduct thematic supervision as an important part of preventive supervision. The purpose of the thematic supervision is to identify and highlight common challenges within the industry. The Authority is now working with special focus on money laundering and economic crime, AI and digitalization, and the review of sustainability information. These are matters that you, as an auditor, may become involved in. Your work may also include representing the Audit Board Inspection externally toward the industry and in international contexts. Qualifications and Characteristics You have the following background: • Academic degree in economics. • Several years of experience as a qualified or approved auditor, or equivalent experience as an auditor in the public sector. • Broad knowledge of good auditing practices and procedures. • Knowledge of audit methodology, internationally recognized standards and norms. • Good insight into the design and application of regulations within the accounting field and you are up to date on regulations and practices that govern audit practice. You have the following characteristics: • Work in a structured and independent manner when work tasks require it. • Are strategic in your work and can see complex wholes and connections. • Are driven, proactive, and take responsibility in your work and in the workplace. • Act with good judgment and high integrity. • Have excellent communication skills in both speech and writing in Swedish. • Enjoy working in teams and contribute to a good collaborative climate. More About the Position The position is a permanent full-time employment with individual salary setting. Start date is by agreement. Our office is located at a central address in Stockholm (Karlavägen 104) and each employee has their own office. We have an agreement on flexible working hours and the opportunity to work remotely. About the Audit Board Inspection The Audit Board Inspection is the government's expert authority on matters concerning auditors and auditing. We exercise supervision over qualified auditors and registered audit firms. We examine and authorize auditors. Our mission includes ensuring that good auditing practices develop in an appropriate manner in Sweden and that there are sufficient auditors in business and society who perform high-quality audits. The Audit Board Inspection also has an international commitment at the Nordic, European, and global level. The Authority currently has 21 employees. Most are qualified auditors or lawyers. As of January 1, 2027, the tasks of the Accounting Board will be transferred to the Audit Board Inspection.
