At Navestadsskolan, approximately 65 dedicated staff members work in various ways to contribute to good school days and education for our approximately 400 students in grades 4 through 9. We work in grade-level teams and in subject-specific teams organized by educational level. The school has support teams that work in close dialogue with the teams to strengthen the conditions for all students to develop both academically and socially. Navestadsskolan also has one of Norrköping Municipality's music classes from grade 4 to grade 9, where music and choir singing are part of the students' school days. We also have Norrköping's Hearing Track (Norrköpings Hörselspår) together with Silverdansens preschool and school. This is an operation where Norrköping Municipality and Region Östergötland collaborate to create favorable conditions for students with hearing impairment. Your Responsibilities As a resource pedagogue, you will work to support students with Npf, both inside and outside the classroom. You are expected to stay one step ahead to prevent students from ending up in challenging situations, and if a challenging situation arises, your calm is of immense importance. The position is directed toward students who under challenging circumstances may become physically aggressive, which means you need to be comfortable with how you work to protect both the individual and the group. You support individuals and groups during lessons and are expected to assist them with schoolwork. Break activities and conflict management are important parts of the work where you collaborate with many different colleagues, students, and guardians. You have an important function in organizing and conducting break activities. We collaborate with Vrinneviskolan regarding after-school programs, which means we need to pick up and drop off students at Vrinneviskolan before school starts and after the school day ends. You will be one of those who drops off and picks up at Vrinneviskolan. Who are you? You have resource pedagogue training or equivalent, as well as training in conflict management and Npf. You are experienced working with physically aggressive students and know how to stay one step ahead to prevent challenging situations from arising. Your general knowledge is good so you can support students both academically and socially, both individually and in groups. You have experience with conflict management and quickly build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are flexible and can quickly adjust if the situation requires it. When a crisis occurs, you remain calm and are action-oriented both during the crisis and in its aftermath. You are experienced in organizing and conducting break activities and you are comfortable with the school's values and professional in your conduct toward students, colleagues, and guardians.
