Description:

Would you like to work at a school where joy, knowledge, safety, and responsibility permeate everything we do? Here you'll become part of a warm, competent, and development-focused F–6 school with after-school care, beautifully located near nature in Åby, just north of Norrköping. Who are we? Åbymoskolan is an F–6 school with approximately 500 curious and inquisitive students and around 65 engaged staff members. Together, we work purposefully toward a school and after-school care program with high quality, good study environment, and a safe learning environment. Our teaching is built on students' curiosity and desire for discovery. With clear structures, shared approaches, and a development-focused culture, we create good conditions for each student to succeed. We have an active student health team and a special focus on language, reading, and writing development as well as mathematics. Our lead teachers guide ongoing development work, and our entire unit is in an exciting phase where much is happening. Åbymoskolan is now seeking a resource pedagogue for a longer-term temporary contract. Your responsibilities With us, you'll work in a stimulating environment where collegial collaboration, shared development, and student wellbeing always take center stage. Your role includes supporting students at individual and group levels with challenges that arise in both social interaction and knowledge acquisition. During school hours, mentors lead instruction and you provide support; during after-school care, you and your colleagues are responsible for activity content and implementation. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues, student health services, and guardians, as well as active contribution to your team's shared work and school development. In our F–3 support team, there is strong support from special education teachers, special education specialists, and support team teachers who work closely with the classes. Who are you? You have post-secondary education as a resource pedagogue or other post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent, such as in pedagogy, behavioral science, special education, or youth leadership. It is desirable that you have experience working in after-school care and providing support during school hours, as well as experience in elementary school's lower grades (F–3). You have experience supporting students who need special support related to neurodevelopmental challenges and using visual supports, social stories, and other pedagogical interventions. You have excellent ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, are well-versed in the school's governing documents, and can adapt support measures based on students' different needs. You communicate clearly and adapt your language to your audience. You collaborate well with students, guardians, and colleagues, enjoy sharing knowledge, and actively contribute to good collaboration. You are flexible and adapt easily to new situations and working methods. In your work, you see and develop each student's potential and provide support that strengthens the student's development and independence.
