About the Workplace Danderyd Gymnasium is one of Stockholm's largest upper secondary schools with approximately 1,400 students. The school consists of four college-preparatory programs (EK, NA, SA, TE) as well as a small adapted upper secondary school. Danderyd's Adapted Gymnasium is part of Danderyd Gymnasium but has its own facilities adapted to its own operations in a separate part of the school. Classes are held in dedicated spaces, but students move freely throughout the school to access the cafeteria, library, and gym. This means that as a student you can be part of a large school but on your own terms. We have space for 16 students divided into two groups. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a resource assistant for our adapted gymnasium. As a resource assistant at Danderyd's Adapted Gymnasium, you primarily need to enjoy spending your days with young people with intellectual disabilities. Together with teachers and the rest of the student support team, you work to provide students with support and motivate them to learn and to some extent support students in their personal development. You will act as a resource during both practical and theoretical lessons. This is a fixed-term position with good opportunities for extension. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking you who have: • Upper secondary school diploma • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing It is meritorious if you have: • Education as a childcare worker, recreation leader, or similar • Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities • Experience working with students with ADHD Great weight is placed on personal suitability. We seek someone who finds it easy to both take and follow instructions, but also has a high degree of independence and initiative. You also have a flexible approach and can adapt to the needs of the operations. Furthermore, you have the ability to build good relationships (as this work involves many contact points with students, staff, and guardians). You also find it easy to vary between maintaining distance and working more operationally, depending on the student and situation.
