Restaurant Assistant

Connecting Jobs, run by the non-profit organization Beredskapslyftet, helps newly arrived immigrants take their first steps into the Swedish labor market – while giving companies access to new talent. Our client is a restaurant that offers traditional Turkish food and grilled dishes. The restaurant has a positive and family-like work environment where employees work together as a team. Location: Lidingö, Stockholm Work is performed on-site at the restaurant. We are looking for: Restaurant Assistant Your responsibilities: – Prepare and cook food. – Grill and assist in the kitchen. – Take orders and provide good service to guests. – Cash register work and payment handling. – Prepare raw materials and stock supplies. – Keep the kitchen and restaurant clean and well-organized. – Dishwashing and cleaning. – Help with other tasks in the restaurant as needed. Requirements: – You have basic knowledge of Swedish and can understand and follow simple instructions. – English is not required. – You have good teamwork and customer service skills. – You can work at a fast pace. – You are thorough, responsible, and flexible. – You can follow hygiene and safety procedures. – You are flexible with working hours and can work evenings and early mornings. Merits: – Experience from a restaurant or similar work is a plus. – If you are registered with the Swedish Public Employment Service and have the possibility of employment support, that is an advantage. Your profile: – You are responsible and service-oriented. – You have a positive attitude and enjoy working together with others. – You are willing to work and flexible. – You thrive working at a fast pace. Important: This position is part of a project co-financed by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). The project aims to support third-country nationals in their integration into the Swedish labor market. Participants have a residence permit in Sweden but lack Swedish citizenship or EU/EES citizenship.
