Kvikkjokk is located deep in the Lappland mountain world - at the end of the road. Those seeking the beauty of nature should visit Kvikkjokk. Adjacent to Kvikkjokk are the two large national parks Padjelanta and Sarek which, together with Stora Sjöfallet, form the UNESCO World Heritage area Laponia, established in 1995. There are 50 beds in single to multi-bed rooms in two buildings. The log building from 1928 features cozy rooms and a common room with views over Sarekfjällen. In addition to the restaurant, we offer a café and bar as well as a small shop. Kvikkjokk is a small village and it is 120 km to Jokkmokk, the nearest town. Our guests seek nature experiences and many embark on longer or shorter hiking trips. We are now seeking a restaurant manager who can run our restaurant and take care of our guests from now through late summer, from August to early October. We are looking for someone who is cheerful, positive, and service-oriented—someone who enjoys working across departments, is meticulous, organized, and passionate, with a great love for food and solid knowledge of wine and beer. You work well both independently and as part of a team. We use the Trivec cash register system. Our kitchen is appreciated by our guests and is of great importance to the facility. We serve a simple café & snack menu from 11:00-16:00 and dinner menu from 18:00. We work extensively with game meat and mountain fish. We are a small team that supports one another. Working at a mountain station means staff live, share life, and work together for several months. Accommodation is included and meal deductions are made during the work period. We operate according to the collective agreement between HRF and VISITA.
