Ground Equipment Workshop Uppland is a department within the Army Staff with 57 employees.
We perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and provide technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspection, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspection.
Ground Equipment Workshop Uppland operates in both Enköping and Uppsala, with this position based in Enköping.
Main Responsibilities
As a parts person, you'll work with parts procurement, ensuring and quality assuring the basis for parts orders, and determining whether parts should be procured internally or externally. You'll initiate, monitor, and close customer orders in our support systems. Your work also includes sourcing and ordering materials, goods handling and other warehouse management, as well as inventory maintenance and customer reception. Various other tasks related to the Swedish Armed Forces' equipment and material systems may occur.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
At least two to three years of upper secondary education in vehicle technology or other education/competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent
Experience working with parts in the machinery or vehicle industry
Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
Good computer skills
Class B driver's license
