The organization includes sales representatives, service coordinators, support technicians, and field service technicians who together serve customers in Scandinavia, Finland, and the Baltic region. Machines are becoming increasingly connected and technologically advanced. Therefore, the role today involves as much systematic troubleshooting in electrical systems, control systems, and automation as traditional mechanical service work. Job Responsibilities As a service technician, you will work from home and be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency service at Salvagnini's customer sites. You will primarily serve customers in the Mälardalen region, though travel throughout Salvagnini Scandinavia's service area may occur. The role offers significant independence while maintaining close contact with service coordinators, technical support in Sweden, and specialist functions in Italy and Austria. The work is varied and consists of both scheduled service visits and emergency service calls. The role requires flexibility as scheduling may change based on customer needs and production situations. The machinery contains a combination of mechanical, electrical, automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems. An important part of the role is therefore to systematically analyze faults, understand the relationships between different systems, and determine the correct solution. You are also responsible for documenting and administering completed work and ensuring clear feedback to both customers and internal departments. Salvagnini offers training both locally and at the group's training centers in Italy and Austria, supplemented with digital learning and a well-established international support network. Examples of job duties: Troubleshoot and repair faults on advanced sheet metal processing machinery and automation systems Perform scheduled preventive maintenance at customer sites Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical documentation, and control system information Document completed work and communicate solutions to customers and internal departments Collaborate with technical support and international specialist teams on more complex issues Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities Requirements: High school education in areas such as electrical, automation, industrial, or similar technical fields Experience in service, maintenance, or troubleshooting of technical equipment or industrial machinery Good knowledge of electrical systems and control systems Good understanding of mechanics Good computer skills and experience with documentation in digital systems Valid driver's license (category B) Fluent Swedish, spoken and written Good English language skills Meritorious: Post-secondary education in areas such as automation, mechatronics, or electrical engineering Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Experience in sheet metal processing or manufacturing industry Experience in international service or field technician roles To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are someone who takes responsibility for your work and enjoys working independently.
