Quick-start consulting assignment for a skilled service technician. You will work with scheduled maintenance of color mixing machines and tinting equipment at customers throughout Sweden. The role combines mechanics, computer work, and customer interaction. Start: Immediately End: Initially 2-3 months, potentially longer or opportunity for employment with our client. Scope: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Location: Gothenburg with travel throughout Sweden Assignment Description As a traveling service technician, you will work with scheduled maintenance of Corob's automated color mixing machines, tinting machines, and shaking machines. You will be an important part of a team that needs reinforcement to catch up with a backlog of service assignments. The work is structured and follows clear processes and manuals. You will perform inspections of the machine's mechanical parts, looking for issues such as leaks or damaged components, conduct tests with computer and scale, and verify that the software has the correct version. You document completed work and fill in service reports. The role is approximately half practical work and half computer, testing, and documentation. You typically will not plan your initial customer visits yourself, but will receive support in the form of a list of assignments. Over time, some independent travel planning may become relevant. You normally work alone at the customer site, but have a colleague available through a shared back-office function and clear support line. Customers are located in, for example, paint stores and building supply warehouses throughout Sweden. Therefore, you need to be comfortable working while store staff and other customers move about nearby. Travel by service vehicle and overnight stays occur. The working day is normally Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, but can extend longer when travel or logistics require it. For longer trips, flights and rental cars may be used. Who is a good fit for this assignment? We are looking for someone who has: Experience with practical, mechanical, or technical work. Familiarity with working structurally according to instructions, processes, or manuals. Experience with documentation and working with computers or digital tools. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent systems. B-class driver's license and ability to travel throughout Sweden. Very good Swedish in speech and writing. Good English in speech and writing. At least basic high school education. You do not need to be a specialist in advanced troubleshooting or IT. The most important thing is that you have practical hands-on skills, are comfortable using computers, and can follow a clear service process. As a person, you are organized, thorough, and responsible. You can work independently, but enjoy collaborating with colleagues when you need support. Since the work is performed visibly in a retail environment, you need to be communicative and professional in your interactions with customers and store staff. Meritorious Experience with service, troubleshooting, or repair of machines. Experience with electrical or electronics. Automotive technical background. Experience working at customer sites. Experience in the paint industry. Experience with coffee machines, vending machines, or similar equipment. Experience servicing equipment that contains both mechanics and software.
