Now they are looking for a traveling service technician who wants to become an important part of the team and work with service and installation of advanced industrial equipment at customers throughout Sweden. About the Position As a traveling service technician at KMC, you will have a varied and independent role where you are responsible for installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of their machinery at customer sites. You will work with equipment in areas such as blasting, tumbling, surface treatment, die casting, and balancing. The work involves extensive travel throughout Sweden and several hotel nights per year. You will also travel to their suppliers in Europe for training, machine inspections, and technical reviews. Job Responsibilities In this role, you will work with: Installation and commissioning of new machinery. Mechanical maintenance, service, and repair of industrial machines. Troubleshooting and resolution of critical downtime. Preventive service, machine inspections, and maintenance according to service plans. Upgrades and modernization of existing equipment. Technical documentation and reporting of completed work. Technical advice to customers regarding operation, maintenance, and improvements. Identifying needs for spare parts and future upgrades. We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in mechanical maintenance, service, or installation in the industrial sector. You have a good understanding of industrial electricity, can read electrical schematics, and have troubleshooting experience. Experience with control systems or PLC is a merit. We would like you to have: Technical education at upper secondary level or higher in areas such as mechanics, electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent. Experience in mechanical maintenance, service, and installation in the industrial sector. Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting. Ability to read drawings and technical documentation. B-class driver's license. Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As a person, you are self-driven, solution-oriented, and comfortable with work where you plan your day and take significant responsibility. You are structured, thorough, and skilled at building trust with customers. Since the role involves many travel days, we see that you appreciate active field work. Other Information The position involves travel throughout Sweden and some travel within Europe for training and supplier visits. The placement location is flexible, but we prefer candidates located in Stockholm, Mälardalen, or southern Sweden, as many of our customers are in these areas. A service vehicle is provided from your residence when possible, and you will have access to modern tools and equipment that will give you excellent conditions to succeed in this role.
