Norran is the leading news provider in northern Västerbotten. Now we're looking for a reporter for an extended temporary assignment! Norran is committed to journalism that makes a difference in the local community. Therefore, we are now seeking a community-minded reporter for a temporary position from September 2026 to January 2027. We cover several municipalities in northern Västerbotten, but this position is based at our editorial office in Skellefteå. You will be part of a fantastic, news-driven and curious team that works at a fast pace and always wants to deliver the biggest and most interesting stories. You will have the opportunity to be at the center of events and through text, images, video and audio tell about the hottest news right now, but also produce journalism that explains, guides and evokes emotions. We have a creative environment where you, together with skilled colleagues, capture societally important issues and trending topics. As a temporary employee with us, you will be part of the team from day one and get to help create journalism with significant local impact. If you're someone who enjoys a fast pace, has ideas, and wants to drive and develop journalism, you'll thrive with us! We're looking for someone with great passion and interest in local journalism. You have a degree in journalism or equivalent education and have experience working at a news editorial office. To thrive in this role, we see that you are curious and knowledgeable, preferably in explanatory and investigative journalism. You enjoy working in an event-driven daily routine where unplanned tasks occur, all to capture today's news for our readers. You are creative and bring your own ideas, and are stylistically skilled, while also mastering photo and video production. You have a strong ability to build contacts and create trust with both interview subjects and our readers. Evening and weekend work may occur. A Class B driver's license is required as driving is part of the job.
