ABOUT US
Södralapplands Avfall and Vatten AB is a municipally-owned operations company established in 2024 with responsibility for waste, water, and sewage in Dorotea and Åsele municipalities.
We have 30 employees. The Water and Sewage Unit is responsible for operating water treatment plants and wastewater treatment facilities. The Waste Unit's area of responsibility includes collection of municipal waste, sludge, hazardous waste, and operation of the Recycling Centers.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Sanitation Worker / Driver at Södralapplands Avfall and Vatten AB, you will have an exciting and challenging job at the Recycling Centers helping visitors sort and properly dispose of their waste, together with others in your work group. You will also assist with the collection of municipal waste throughout the municipality using our own collection vehicles.
On-call duty may be required in this position.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, has a positive attitude toward helping others, and seeks new challenges. It is important that you have excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor. You should also have strong teamwork abilities and appreciate the variety between independent work and collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must have at least a CE driving license with a valid professional driving certificate and extensive experience driving trucks. Experience operating wheel loaders and training for vehicle-mounted cranes are merits, but not requirements.
You have basic computer skills, are interested in technology, and can express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as being self-motivated, organized, and responsible. You need to be stress-tolerant and enjoy working independently, while also being a team player. In your professional role, you meet customers daily, so it is important that you have good customer service skills.
