About the Job
As a Sanitation Worker / Driver at Södralapplands Avfall and Vatten AB, you will have an exciting and challenging role at the recycling centers, helping visitors sort and dispose of their waste correctly, together with your team members. You will also assist with the collection of municipal waste throughout the municipality using our collection vehicles.
On-call duty will be part of the position.
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, has a positive attitude toward helping others, and seeks new challenges. It is important that you have excellent customer service skills and a professional approach. You should also have good collaboration abilities and appreciate the variety between independent work and teamwork.
Qualifications
You must have at least Class C driving license with a valid medical certificate and extensive experience driving heavy trucks. Experience with wheel loaders and training for vehicle-mounted cranes are merits but not required.
You have basic computer skills, are interested in technology, and can express yourself clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as being self-driven, organized, and responsible. You need to be stress-resilient and enjoy working independently, while also being a team player. In your role as a driver, you will meet customers daily, so it is important that you have good customer service skills.
About Us
Södralapplands Avfall and Vatten AB is a municipally-owned operating company established in 2024, responsible for waste, water, and wastewater services in Dorotea and Åsele municipalities.
We have 30 employees. The Water and Wastewater Unit is responsible for the operation of water treatment plants and purification facilities. The Waste Unit's area of responsibility includes the collection of municipal waste, sludge, hazardous waste, and the operation of Recycling Centers.
