Malmfältens Folkhögskola is seeking a Rector/Executive Director – lead folk education and business operations in the heart of Kiruna!

Areas of Responsibility
About the role:
In this combined role as Rector and Executive Director, you get an exciting and varied assignment. You combine the folk education mission with sound business operations and are responsible for pedagogical quality as well as the school's commercial operations – with a focus on creating good profitability in accommodation and conference services.
You have full responsibility for personnel, budget, work environment, and operations. Together with your team, you drive organizational change, develop our service offerings, and navigate confidently in a complex and changing environment.

Qualifications
Who are you?
We are looking for a confident and values-driven leader with a strong holistic perspective. Goal orientation and perseverance characterize your working approach, and you have the ability to prioritize and drive operations forward on both short and long term.
Your qualifications and experience:
Education: Relevant academic education, preferably in pedagogy (or other experience that the employer deems equivalent).
Leadership: Previous management experience with full responsibility for personnel, budget, work environment, and operations.
Business sense: Strong business acumen, good financial understanding, and strategic thinking.
Change management: Experience with change initiatives and development of service offerings in complex organizations.
Communication: Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
Other: B-class driver's license (travel is part of the position).
Meritorious:
Rector training in folk education.
Experience working in a politically governed organization.
Personal qualities:
As a leader you are organized, attentive, inclusive, and relationship-building. You make decisions with good judgment, have initiative, and approach challenges with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
