Description Taserudsgymnasiet is one of two upper secondary schools in Arvika. Taserudsgymnasiet offers vocational programs in Construction and Facilities, Childcare and Recreation, Electrical and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Sales and Service, Industrial Technology, HVAC and Property, and Healthcare and Elderly Care, as well as Introductory Programs. The school is certified within both Technology College and Healthcare and Elderly Care College and maintains close collaboration with the business sector, which provides excellent opportunities for work-based learning for our students. Responsibilities The position as principal at Taserudsgymnasiet involves shared leadership with a colleague principal and an assistant principal, where you together lead the school. You will be responsible for a number of vocational programs, which includes pedagogical responsibility as well as personnel and results responsibility for operations in your unit. This also includes systematic quality work in accordance with the municipality's operational plan. You will work together with your colleague principal to strengthen and develop the school's profile and collaborate with the industry. Your work should lead to strengthening the school's goal achievement, attractiveness, and brand further. As principal at Taserudsgymnasiet, you will also participate, together with other principals and assistant principals, in the leadership structure for upper secondary education in Arvika, which is led by the superintendent of upper secondary schools and adult education. Qualifications We are looking for a principal who has relevant higher education and experience working in the education sector. It is a merit if you have completed principal training and have experience with the upper secondary school's vocational and introductory programs. You have an interest in and experience in driving pedagogical development work and keep yourself updated on current research in the school environment. You are clear, visible, confident, and an attentive leader with excellent ability to organize and create structures in your operations. With results-oriented leadership, you inspire your employees by setting goals, delegating, coordinating, and following up on results. Your leadership is democratic, but you do not hesitate to make decisions when needed. As a person, you are characterized by great commitment, clear focus on students, good judgment, attentiveness, good communication skills, and perseverance. Great importance is placed on your ability to create good professional relationships with collaboration partners, personal suitability, cooperation skills, and creativity.
