Job Responsibilities As headmaster, you are responsible for operations, personnel and finances. You lead and develop the educational work together with your colleagues, with a focus on creating the best possible conditions for students' learning and wellbeing. You collaborate with guardians, trade union representatives and internal and external stakeholders, and participate in several forums together with other headmaster colleagues. Collaboration between the municipality's secondary schools is strong, with regular meetings, experience exchange and shared development and research projects. Your Profile We are looking for a leader who puts the interests of the operation first – something that is reflected in both your decisions and your actions. Despite time pressure, you can make well-founded decisions and stand behind them. You are clear and confident in your leadership and involve your colleagues by utilizing their competence and commitment. You work in a structured manner, take initiative and drive the work forward with a focus on results and organizational development. You are a present leader who enjoys collaboration. As a team player, you actively contribute in shared forums to develop the organization together. Qualifications We are looking for someone with experience of educational work and a teaching degree from higher education. It is advantageous if you have worked or studied with a focus on primary and secondary education. We would like to see that you have completed or started headmaster training and have knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and agreements. If you have previously worked as a headmaster or held other leadership positions, that is an advantage. You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. This recruitment includes work psychological tests and interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis. Before employment, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register. During the holiday period, response times may be somewhat longer. Thank you for your understanding. About the Department We teach children to read, count and discover the world around them. Here we follow our youngest residents from preschool until they graduate from upper secondary school. Through our adult education, people can learn Swedish as a second language, study individual courses or pursue longer education.
