We are now seeking a principal who, with clear pedagogical leadership, wants to create the best conditions for adult learning, skill development, and establishment in the job market. The Skills Supply Section is responsible for upper secondary adult education, SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), basic adult education, adapted education for adults, Falun Learning Center, and the Guidance Center. Within Adult Education, approximately 20 employees currently work, and we provide independent career guidance, conduct adult education in-house, and offer a wide range of external training programs (authorized). Adult education should be the individual's and society's opportunity to meet emerging skills needs. As society changes, adult education faces new challenges to meet local, national, and global changes. This places great demands on the operation being development-oriented and flexible. Additionally, we see the ability to understand and collaborate with many different societal actors as one of adult education's success factors. About the assignment As principal, you are responsible for the pedagogical leadership and development of Falun Adult Education and Falun Learning Center. You lead staff within adult education and work toward high quality, good goal achievement, and an operation that meets both individuals' and the job market's needs. You work closely with the school director and other leaders within the Skills Supply section, which is organized within the Employment and Social Services Administration, to create a cohesive and forward-looking operation. Work tasks In the role, you will, among other things: Take responsibility for pedagogical leadership within Falun Adult Education Lead and develop teaching, learning processes, and support structures Work systematically with quality, analysis, and follow-up Develop Falun Learning Center as a modern and attractive learning environment Work toward increased goal achievement, reduced dropouts, and improved study results Ensure that education meets the job market's and society's skills needs Create participation, engagement, and development momentum together with staff Collaborate with internal and external actors in education and the job market Qualifications The role requires: Pedagogical higher education Experience with pedagogical leadership including personnel, operations, budget, and work environment responsibility Good knowledge of school regulations and systematic quality work Experience from adult education or other educational operations Experience leading change and development projects Good ability to express yourself in Swedish orally and in writing Valid driver's license (category B) Personal qualities We are seeking a leader who combines humility with decisiveness and who creates security through clear and present leadership. Meritorious qualifications: Principal's training or ongoing principal's training Experience from municipal adult education Experience collaborating with businesses and other external actors Experience working with skills supply issues Experience developing flexible learning forms or learning centers Experience collaborating with labor organizations Terms of employment Permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement.
