About the Workplace
The Children and Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school care, upper secondary school, and adult education, as well as adapted primary and secondary school programs.
As principal of the primary school, you lead your own school. Together with the director/chief of primary education and other principals, you are part of leading the development of the entire municipal primary school system. You meet with your principal colleagues every week at principal meetings led by the director/chief of primary education.
We have a central child and student health unit where school nurses, psychologists, and counselors are employed, as well as a preschool team and a central special education coordinator. Special education teachers and coordinators are employed locally at the school under the principal.
Our primary schools are undergoing a transformation process where the school organization is being reviewed to create an organization that is qualitative and sustainable over time as the municipality's population structure changes.
Slottsskolan
Slottsskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 270 students. The school is located in a scenic area near Skokloster Castle, just under two miles from Bålsta center.
We are looking for you—an engaged, goal-oriented, and responsive principal. You will join a well-functioning school with established routines and structures and a stable staff. The school also has an established and successful collaboration with the social services prevention team.
You will encounter a school where development work has been in focus for several years. You will be able to maintain, refine, and continue developing the ongoing work.
Qualifications
You have experience working as an assistant principal or principal with formal responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget.
You have experience with change management focused on quality development and cost efficiency.
You are experienced in systematic quality work. You lead your colleagues successfully and create conditions for effective work groups that work toward common goals.
You are a clear pedagogical leader, communicative, and skilled at building relationships. You actively work to create participation and job satisfaction and have the ability to build good relationships with students, staff, and guardians.
You are well versed in the curriculum, school law, and other relevant governance documents.
Meritorious
Completed or ongoing principal education is meritorious.
Other
It is a requirement that you can express yourself well in speech and in writing.
You have good computer skills and experience working with various management systems and the Office suite.
Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
