Other Information Learn more about Borås Stad as an employer About the Operation Adapted Primary School Fjärding admits students from grade 1 through grade 9 and shares facilities with primary schools at Fjärding and Boda. At Fjärdingskolan, students in grades 1-6 attend, and at Bodaskolan, students in grades 7-9 attend. In each class, a classroom teacher works together with a preschool teacher/student assistant. The operation features a clear structure and instruction is adapted to each student's individual needs and circumstances. We have a well-equipped environment with classrooms, group rooms, sensory room, communication and movement room, and creative room. Qualifications As a principal in Borås Stad, you are required to have pedagogical higher education, previous experience as a teacher, and should have documented management and leadership experience. For this position, it is desirable that in addition to your teaching credentials, you have education focusing on intellectual disabilities or developmental disorders. We also consider extensive experience working in an adapted primary school as highly valuable. A prerequisite for success in the role is your ability to create good and trusting relationships with staff, students, guardians, and other external contacts. Job Responsibilities As principal, you hold overall responsibility for the school but work closely with the school's assistant principal. You lead, develop, and organize the work in accordance with laws/regulations and other governing documents. As principal, you lead the pedagogical development work and are responsible for goals, budget, and personnel. In your role, you will work closely with the client and other stakeholders within the operation area. In Borås Stad, we want you as principal to work with process management and build strong relationships in close collaboration with your staff. You are a clear manager and present leader who understands the importance of releasing staff capacity and working together. You report to the operations manager and are part of a management team with other managers, principals, and operations developers. You also have access to qualified support in areas such as finance and HR.
